Privacy policy
Updated 17 September 2026. This notice covers the Dear Lingo coming-soon website and emails you send about it.
1. About Dear Lingo
Dear Lingo is being established as MB "Dear lingo" in Lithuania. Company registration is pending. During this pre-launch period, the project’s founder handles the limited website and enquiry information described below. We will update this notice with the registered company details once formation is complete. The language-learning service is not yet available to purchase.
For questions or privacy requests, email hello@dearlingo.com.
2. Browsing the site
The website server processes your IP address, the requested page, request time and technical connection details to deliver and protect this website. We use limited operational logs to investigate errors and abuse, relying on our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Logs rotate automatically as their storage limit is reached and are reviewed for continued need. We do not use this information for advertising or visitor profiling.
This site does not set cookies, use browser storage, load advertising pixels or run analytics scripts. Its images and styles are served from our own server. It does not access your microphone.
3. Contacting us
The contact buttons open your email app. Nothing is sent until you choose to send it. We receive your email address, the message and any details you choose to include. We use them to reply and, when you ask about testing, discuss that request. Our basis is our legitimate interest in answering correspondence you initiate; we do not add you to a marketing mailing list.
We normally delete project enquiry correspondence within six months after the conversation ends, unless you ask us to keep discussing it or we need a limited record for a legal obligation or dispute. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information.
4. Service providers
The website is hosted on the project’s own server. Google Workspace handles our email, and your own email provider handles your outgoing message. We do not sell personal information. Google may process email outside the European Economic Area under its applicable data-processing and international-transfer arrangements. See Google’s data-processing terms. You can contact us for more information about safeguards.
5. Your choices and rights
You may ask for access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal information, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Data portability applies where its legal conditions are met. We normally respond within one month; if a lawful extension is needed, we will explain it. You can also complain to Lithuania’s State Data Protection Inspectorate or your relevant supervisory authority.
You are not required to email us to browse. We do not make automated decisions about you. Before introducing accounts, voice conversations, payments or a mailing list, we will provide information about that processing and any choices it requires.
6. Security and updates
We use HTTPS to protect your connection and restrict administrative access to the website and project inbox. No system can promise complete security. If you believe project information has been exposed, contact hello@dearlingo.com.
Dear Lingo is being built for adults. The coming-soon site does not offer children’s accounts or collect voice recordings. If a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can assess and remove it where appropriate.
We will keep the date at the top of this page current when this notice changes. Material changes to how we use information will be explained before that new processing begins, with consent where required.
