Accessibility

What Dear Lingo offers today, where its limits are and how to tell us about a barrier.

Reading and navigation

Make text larger with browser zoom: Ctrl and + on Windows or Linux, or Command and + on a Mac. On a phone, use your text-size setting.

The site supports keyboard navigation, visible focus, text alternatives and a skip-to-content link. Motion follows your device’s reduced-motion setting.

Speaking and hearing

Episodes are spoken, and there’s no typed alternative. Captions show every line, English translations are always available and hints can show a phrase in writing. Speech recognition may not work equally well for every voice.

Our aim

We use WCAG 2.2 AA as our design reference. We haven’t completed an independent accessibility audit and don’t claim full conformance. If something doesn’t work for you, email us the page, what you were trying to do and the tool or setting you use.
